Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
Who we are
Players Cars is a trading name of Lease Lounge Limited, which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number 654548). For the purposes of UK data protection law, Lease Lounge Limited is the data controller for the information described in this policy.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to check whether you are likely to be approved for car finance and to talk to you about your enquiry. Through the eligibility form and the booking form on this site, that is:
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- Your contact details, including your email address and phone number
- Your current address, and your previous address where you have not been at your current one long
- Whether you hold a full UK driving licence
- Your residential status, for example owner, tenant or living with family
- Your occupation
- The vehicle you are looking for
- Your monthly budget and any deposit you have available
We do not ask for bank details, card numbers or copies of documents through this website. If a lender needs those later, they will collect them from you directly through their own secure process.
Why we collect it
We use your information for two things, and nothing else:
- To assess your finance eligibility. Your details are used to work out which lenders are likely to be able to help you, and on what terms.
- To contact you about your enquiry. That means calling, emailing or messaging you about the finance you have asked us about, and arranging a call if you have booked one.
Our lawful basis for this is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have made. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time and we will stop.
Who we share it with
To arrange finance we share your details with finance lenders and brokers. That is the point of the enquiry: we cannot find you a finance offer without passing your information to the people who make those offers. Those lenders and brokers become responsible for your information under their own privacy policies once they receive it.
We also use service providers who keep this website running and deliver the messages we send. They only handle your information on our instructions.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies and advertising
This website uses the Meta Pixel and cookies to measure how our advertising performs. That tells us things like which advert brought you here and whether people who arrive from a given advert go on to complete the form. It helps us spend our advertising budget sensibly.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control how Meta uses your information through the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account. Blocking cookies will not stop you using this site or submitting an enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can answer questions about what was arranged and meet our regulatory record-keeping obligations. In practice that means up to six years from your last contact with us, which reflects the period during which a complaint or claim about a regulated finance introduction could still be raised. After that we delete it or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Rectification — have anything inaccurate corrected
- Erasure — ask us to delete your information, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
- Restrict or object to how we use it, including objecting to direct marketing at any time
- Portability — receive your information in a portable format, or have it sent to someone else
Exercising any of these is free, and we will respond within one month. We will not treat you any differently for asking.
To make a request, or ask anything about your data, email wilson@playerscars.com. Tell us what you want and we will come back to you within one month.
If it is easier, you can also message us on WhatsApp on +44 7462 770717, or write to Lease Lounge Limited marking your letter for the attention of the data protection contact. Email is the quickest way to reach us and the one we monitor for these requests.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You can go to the ICO without coming to us first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant we will tell people who have an open enquiry with us.
